I'd really recommend reaching out to Puget Systems on this one, and see what they say.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS FOR MADMAPPER PRO
A lot of this also depends on the software support too, with this being more pro software, they likely only officially support quadro cards. If you go much over 6, you'll probably likely need multiple quadros, and if you want them perfectly in sync, you'll likely need a sync card as well. To get the 6+ display limits, you're going to need either multiple cards, or a higher end quadro (depending on the quadro they have varying display count limits). GTX and Titan cards have a 4 display limit. I'm not overly familiar with this exact type of work, so I can't go much into exacts, but I can give some general guidance. Excited to see what you all come up with. My biggest concern is not having enough outputs to run all the projectors. Don't have word on budget yet but assume N/A for now, I just wanna see what the best and most capable hardware is. Would the HP Z4/6/8 be enough? Should we go custom with an i7/i9 or dual Xeons? Should we go with single or dual gpus? 1080 Ti SLI or Quadro workstation cards? What other hardware like video switchers etc should we be looking for? A friend mentioned the FX4 and the ATEM Prod Studio from Black Magic however I'm not sure if they'd be entirely useful for us.

I've been researching the HP Z series workstations and they seem promising but I wanted some other opinions. Assuming we want unique content on each of the projectors, we're running Resolume and maybe MadMapper as well. Already has 6 projectors and might add more in the future.

What other hardware like video switchers etc should we be looking for? We need at least 7 video outputs.Ĭlient wants to set up permanent projection mapping install for his space. Case and PSU don't matter, just gonna pick what can handle it. The rest of the build kinda revolves around the decision on cpu/gpu combo but assume 32 gb RAM and 1tb storage preferably m2. (must be nvidia card due to software being used unfortunately) Quadro Series cards (?) (again, not my specialty) OR Dual Xeons/similar (this is where I don't know as much, only built gaming PCs) No budget for now, go wild with suggestions. We need basically perfect sync between screens and 30-60 fps consistently.

We want to projection map the interior of a church architectural space with unique content on 6+ screens while running professional VJ software like Resolume.
